Our Story
Sustenance Group was born out of the idea that friends can come together and make a difference in their communities. Founded as a volunteer coalition by Kristi York Wooten in 2007, Sustenance Group morphed into a consulting firm, offering a wider array of professional services to nonprofit clients. We use strategic, measurable social actions, partnerships and live events to help nonprofit organizations attract advocates and donors. We also report news and events related to global health, women and girls, education, human rights and hunger on our internationally recognized blog. We believe in the power of music to change the world.
OUR MISSION:
SUSTAIN AND SUPPORT VOICES FOR GOOD IN A NOISY, DIGITAL WORLD.
The Sustenance Group blog features links to published articles authored by Kristi York Wooten on the topics of global health, movement building, philanthropy and fundraising. Testimonials

“Through the Music for Good campaign and the Motherlove event, Sustenance Group has helped us engage thousands of musicians and activists to spread the word about Every Mother Counts. We reached wider audiences with our mission, shared universal stories and brought more global awareness to maternal health challenges and solutions.”
Christy Turlington Burns, Founder, Every Mother Counts

"ReverbNation's Music for Good program, curated by Sustenance Group, connected us with artists and a new demographic we had not previously been able to reach. This relationship allowed artists to use their gifts for good and to bring clean and safe drinking water to people in developing countries.”
